My Year in Lists

Me and the girls having fun!

Tick, tock, tick, tock... It's already April! Can you believe how quickly time is passing? It seems as though we just rang in the new year.

I have been reflecting a lot about how I have single-handedly gained back the sense of who I am and in essence changed my frame of mind in order to make peace within chaos. It's all about the power of positive thinking and for this I thank my family, friends and of course, faith.

It has almost been a year since we have moved away from Florida and I feel like I have done more with my life than I ever did in the 3 years we lived in FL. It must be something that has to do with new beginnings. I guess having to move every few years will do that to you. But this time is different. I am focused and balanced.

So here was the list I created in my head as my New Year's Resolutions:
1. Take time out for myself
2. Be involved in my community
3. Start crafting (sewing, knitting) again
4. Stay positive (because baby, life's going to chuck a lot of lemons at 'cha)

I feel like I have kept up my end of the bargain and I honestly could not have asked for a better year here than I already have had (other reasons beyond my control excepted: military life). This is not to say that I don't get my fair share of bad circumstances. I constantly have to weed out any negative presence that can affect my mood or well-being.  I say life is too short for drama! Who needs it? Well, admittedly I need it every week when I watch the Hills... But that's another story!
